Anguish of Separation - Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
"Another thing is about the anguish of seperation. You like someone, you love someone, and then a small something they do creates a big scar in you. It creates so much anguish and pain. How to deal with anguish and pain is a main problem today. ... Neither could you live with that person nor could you live away from the person. This is anguish. This creates a scar, an emptiness. The mind feels as though it is unbearable.
This is the fire that moulds you and makes you really come out of anguish. Here, a little knowledge, a little wisdom, can pull you out of the situation. When anguish is there, no advice of anybody helps. Nothing works. You want to sit and meditate, even meditation doesn't happen. What to do now? You need a place or a group, a situation, where there is love and support. Or you need the presence or a connection or communication with someone who is so centered, so full of love and source. Then anguish could be removed. It doesn't take long. Someone who could just take the weight off you."
